Info

Stone Me (Also known as "Stone me, What a Life!"), is a Babyshambles track which was released in September 2007 as a B Side to the Maxi CD version of their single, Delivery. The title is inspired by the Tony Hancock expression, and Babyshambles' also named one of their tours after the expression, calling it their "Stone me, What a Life Tour".

Live bootlegs of Stone Me exist from as early as 2006, and an acoustic version with Doherty on guitar, Dot Allison, and at least one other male voice, was leaked online in July 2006, along with acoustic versions of I Wish and Sedative.

The NME reported in October 2006 that Babyshambles had recorded eleven songs for The Blinding EP, including one called "Stung Me Like Life". Fans have speculated that "Stung Me Like Life" was simply "Stone Me, What A Life!" which was misheard by the journalist.

Lyrics

Mrs Cravatte
Silhouette
It was the year of the cat
The cat is in the shit
Oh yeah, vodka and downers - just to pass the time
No wonder all that surrounds us
So it's time for a cigarette

Stone me, What a life

Mrs Cravatte
Silhouette
It seemed you, want to adore
Johnny can't go any faster
So he walked out the door
Straight to being a yuppy pup
The licence just passed us

Stone me, What a life
