Pipedown is track #5 on Babyshambles' debut album Down in Albion, and is credited to Peter Doherty and Patrick Walden. After Albion was released, a rumour began on the official Babyshambles forum that Pipedown and The 32nd of December would be released as a double A Side single, but this never happened, and the next single Babyshambles released was Janie Jones in 2006.
This song is considered a fan favourite, and often played during encores at Babyshambles' gigs. However, not many versions other than the official release have been recorded by Babyshambles.
