After Peter Doherty was asked to leave The Libertines for the second time, Barat began to plan a third Libertines album, with Anthony Rossomando. In an interview with music magazine, The NME, Barat revealed new song titles that were a "Work in Progress". One of these song titles was Chasing Dragons.

This song has never been officially recorded, however, and no recordings exist on the internet.
