The 32nd of December (or 32nd of December) is track #4 on Babyshambles' debut album, Down in Albion, and is credited to Doherty. After Albion was released as a single, a rumour began on the official Babyshambles forum that The 32nd of December, along with Pipedown, would be released as a double-A Side single, however, this never happened, and the next single released was Janie Jones in 2006.
The 32nd of December was first heard in December 2004, when Babyshambles played the track on XFM radio. When the contents of Doherty's "My Music" folder leaked, in April 2006, many versions of this track were heard for the first time, including a version featuring piano.
There is also an acoustic song by Doherty, called "There is a light/32nd of December" in his Shaken and Withdrawn Megamix session, however this is not an early version of the song, but an acoustic version of Piracy.

Speak
Don't talk about it
Speak
Don't want to know all about it
Arguing with you's no good
Well you'll be nobody's fool but you almost
Speak
Don't talk about it
Don't talk about the 32nd of December
That's the night I'm trying so hard to forget
All you do is you come round and then, well I remember
Remember what I try, that I, what I....
Speak
Don't talk about it
Speak
Don't want to know all about it
Anybody want tea?
Did anybody, thank you, ah fuck me
But don't speak
And don't talk about it
Don't you talk about the 32nd of December
That's the night im trying so hard to forget
All you do is you phone, then I, I remember
Remember what I try
That I, what I...
Speak
Don't wanna to talk about it
Well it was you, not I
Who was, such a stickler for manners
So don't you say goodbye
Ah no to your good old friend
Ah goodbye...Goodbye(x3)
So I'm not sure i know how to defend you
What was that, m'Lord?
Speak
Don't talk about it
Speak
Don't want to know about it
If they ask me nicely then I'll go
But they never do
So I'll never do
